“Black Panther” scored $111.7 million at the North American box office in its second week.

Ryan Coogler can, in part, thank Kirk Franklin and his family for helping boost the Marvel sensation on a trajectory that could ultimately land it among the highest grossing films.

In an Instagram post, the GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel songwriter posted a picture of his children, writing that he had gone to see “Black Panther for the third time.”

Franklin, 48, even shared a video of Christian comedian, Kev On Stage, adapting his hit praise anthem “Hosanna!” into a celebration song about “Wakanda!”—the name of the African superheroes’ fictional Kingdom.

Too funny.

“Had my babies to myself tonight. I’m selfish,” wrote the proud dad, who is among a slew of fans supporting the epic film.

Disney had to revise up the estimated figures of the weekend performance of "Black Panther," after estimating that it grossed $108 million on Sunday. The strong second week sales pushed the film's cumulative domestic gross past $400 million and its worldwide haul above $700 million.

"Black Panther" easily trounced all other new releases.

So, what’s even cooler than the movie’s amazing success? Here’s something. Disney announced that it will donate $1 million to help develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs in the U.S. The lump sum grant will go to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
