David Adefeso, ex fiancé of R&B singer Tamar Braxton, took to social media to deny reports that he assaulted the star before filing a domestic violence restraining order against her.

In a recent explosive The Blast report citing sources close to 43-year-old Braxton, Adefeso is characterized as “the aggressor” in the violent fight that ended with police involvement.

But the 50-year-old Ivy League-educated finance entrepreneur said in an Instagram Live video Wednesday, Sep. 9, “It’s a complete and absolute falsehood,” referencing the story that alleged he had threatened to kill himself and Braxton and “grabbed her hard.”

“I’ve never, ever, ever – and never will – ever put my hand on a woman. Ever,” Adefeso said, passionately refuting the damaging claims made by anonymous sources that also said Braxton was only aggressive toward him after he grabbed her.

“I grew up in a household [where] my parents were together for 50 years. They were married. I lived in the home for 21 years, but I observed them for over 40 years, and my mom and dad were the most loving and kind couple to each other. I never saw my dad hit my mom. I never heard my mom hit my dad or see it,” he said, offering an explanation of why such allegations were especially offensive to him.

The Blast report said the altercation broke out while Adefeso was driving Braxton, who attempted suicide on July 16, to a mental health facility for treatment. According to him, “while driving at a high speed” the “Love and War” singer punched him in the jugular vein in his neck, causing him to panic and become “discombobulated.”

He said he called his mother – a conversation Braxton allegedly recorded and distributed to others, including his family – who prayed for him over the phone amid the chaos.

“My car was destroyed,” said Adefeso. “I drive a Rolls Royce, many of you know, [which sustained] almost thirty thousand dollars in damage.”

While no formal statement has been issued by Braxton, and her version of events has not been directly shared by her, the Nigerian wealth manager clearly took umbrage with the version of events shared by unnamed representatives.

“I can’t really continue to speak about this because the cops are involved. It’s a criminal case now for the damage to the car, the taping, the assault,” he said.

“But I’ll tell you something. Despite all that and despite the fact that we’re separated, and we’re pretty much over, the love never goes away. I love Tamar from the bottom of my heart. I always have, and I will continue to. No matter what she needs, I’ll be there as a support for her,” he added.

Short of being there, in order to know the real truth, we are going to need the level of wisdom Solomon had in Scripture to figure out this latest saga.
