BUFFALO, NY (EEW) —YOUR DAILY CUP OF INSPIRATION, the inspiring podcast that features first-hand true stories and Scripture-based encouragement from award-winning Christian publisher and Bible teacher, Dianna Hobbs, has grown to one million downloads since its August 2016 launch.

From the beginning, YOUR DAILY CUP OF INSPIRATION podcast has taken a decidedly different approach to delivering life-transforming empowerment to listeners.

"Rather than share others’ stories and interviews, I wanted my listeners to hear the details of what happened first-hand in my life, directly from me, the person who went through it," said Dianna Hobbs, host of the show produced and distributed by Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, Inc. "Sharing exactly what it was like to endure tough – even comical – life situations and overcome storms, I believe, has been tremendously helpful to my audience."

Some of the past episodes include discussions about Hobbs’ miraculous healing from autoimmune diseases and a mini stroke, living life after being diagnosed with brain trauma, and navigating the day-to-day challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, mood destabilization, brain trauma induced cognitive changes. There are currently 500 episodes – another milestone for the podcast – available.

Show producers say the secret ingredient of the podcast, a companion to Hobbs’ Top 100 Christian blog of the same name – recommended by Christianity Today – is that it puts the listener right there in her story. For many of the episodes, this is accomplished by Hobbs sharing intimate and deeply personal details about what happened at the time of a life-shaping event.

Steve Johnson who heads the eight-member production team said, "Dianna is very open, honest, real and transparent which has drawn the masses to her podcast. It is incredibly compelling to hear a first-hand account of a traumatic event from a woman who survived it and is still standing.”

But not all the episodes deal with traumatic events. Hobbs tells stories that are light-hearted, embarrassing, happy, nostalgic and uplifting as well. There’s the story of Hobbs launching EEW Magazine Online, a fully staffed web publication that has garnered awards, accolades, and millions of visits since its 2007 inception, and its trajectory to current success. Stories like this help others see that they, too, can achieve God-given dreams with faith, hard work, and perseverance.

“Many of Dianna’s stories are intense and motivating—unforgettable, really,” said Johnson. “Not everyone can hold an audience’s attention with just their personal storytelling, but it is Dianna’s gift. It is easy to see why before retiring from a prolific career as a radio DJ and executive producer, her show was top-rated and among the most loved programs on the station.”

Hobbs, who stepped away from her podcast for several months following her 2019 mini stroke and brain trauma, for a season, thought she would not return. “It looked like I would never be able to podcast again, ever,” she said in a Facebook message on her verified page, celebrating the one-million-mark milestone.

But despite health setbacks, these days, Hobbs is confident that even with the changes in her brain and her delivery style, her audience remains accepting and willing to continue the journey with her. "I'm always going to be honest and open no matter what. Whether I have a good or bad experience, I want listeners to know that God is still good and see me as an example of the power of faith coupled with a refusal to give up.”

Hobbs and her team have reached a 15-year milestone of blogging and publishing, and she says, “If we keep God first, prioritize sharing the truth honestly and walking in integrity daily, I believe we will continue to grow and proclaim the name of Jesus for all the world to hear.”
