EEW President, Dianna Hobbs, shares touching online birthday tribute to husband of 20 years

Women’s ministry leader, Dianna Hobbs, is celebrating her husband of 20 years with a sweet online birthday tribute on the occasion of his 46th birthday.

In a Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 social media post, she doted on Kenya Hobbs, the father of the couple’s four children, saying she will be “forever smitten” by him.

“We can be in a crowded room and it's as if no one else is there,” said Dianna, 41, in a caption next to what she called one of her “favorite” black and white photos of the pair gazing into each other’s eyes.

“When I asked him what he wanted for his special day, he said, ‘I already have it,’” she continued. “I smiled. After 20 years of marriage, he's still my favorite guy in the world.”

The two, who wed in January 1998, survived one of their roughest periods together between the years 2015-2017. That’s when Dianna became seriously ill due to two undetected autoimmune diseases: Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. By the time a team of specialists pinpointed the issue, the charismatic ministry leader had greatly declined. She could no longer care for herself, so Kenya stepped in as primary caretaker until God miraculously healed Dianna—a kind deed she deeply appreciates and often reflects upon.

Kenya, who penned the heartfelt foreword in Dianna’s book, God Did It, writes about the experience from his perspective.

“I am thankful for his Godly leadership in our home, for the way he stuck by me when I was deathly ill, spoke life into me, and took care of me,” she said. “I praise God for the example he sets for our four children daily of what it means to serve God and serve others. I am grateful for the heart he has for the ministry, the community and his passion to see everyone thrive.”

Together, Kenya and Dianna Hobbs lead an inner-city ministry in Buffalo, New York. They also head up Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, Inc., their global nonprofit organization that distributes free Christian resources worldwide, and helps those in need.

Despite their demanding schedules and heavy workload, the power couple prioritizes their time together and manage to keep the spark alive in their relationship.

“Two decades of marriage have flown by,” said Dianna. “But you know what they say: time flies when you’re having fun.”

She ended the sweet tribute saying, “Happy birthday to the guy who looks into my eyes and still makes me melt and gives me butterflies.”
