We all need a faith boost sometimes, especially when lots of things are going wrong, and we aren’t feeling quite so optimistic about what is ahead.

Good thing the word of God is our primary faith-building resource and has power to help us believe against the odds.

If you need a lift and a reason to cling to faith in the face of negative circumstances, EEW Magazine Online is offering these 6 verses for you to meditate on daily. They will make your faith stronger and inspire you to keep trusting the God who never fails!

#1 “Because of our faith, we know that the world was made at God's command. We also know that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.” (Hebrews 11:3)

Experiencing difficulties? We all are in one way or another. That’s why we must always remember that the same God who spoke the world into existence can speak to our situations too. Even though you may not see anything good happening and cannot detect change with the natural eye yet, your faith reminds you that all God has to do is speak a word, and everything will shift. Never put your trust in what you see but always in what you believe—which is God’s unfailing word.

#2 “Keep alert. Be firm in your faith. Stay brave and strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Being firm in your faith means not wavering in hard times. Though your faith will be tested and tried, and you won’t always feel the most confident, you can still firmly stand upon God’s word despite your feelings. You just have to know what you believe, and let nothing move you away from that foundation. Be stubborn in your belief in God’s word and His divine providence. And you will be equipped and empowered to remain strong, courageous and steadfast through whatever storms you face.

#3 “Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory.” (1 John 5:4)

With so many negative forces coming against you and your faith, some days, you may feel weak and unable to keep going. But be assured that your faith in Christ, who has already overcome the world, gives you power to defeat what’s trying to defeat you. You are more than a conqueror through Christ!

#4 “The one who chose you can be trusted, and he will do this.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

You need faith to live holy, to anticipate blessings, and to believe that every need will be supplied. This verse assures you that God can be trusted to do all those things, because His word said He would, and He cannot lie. He keeps His promises. So take your eyes off of yourself and your limitations, and focus on the faithfulness and unlimited power of God, the One who has called, chosen and anointed you to be victorious in all things.

#5 “All of you are God's children because of your faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)

Your identity in Christ is your greatest source of faith. Because you have been accepted into the family of God, you are entitled to the righteous inheritance that is reserved for those who have been saved by grace through faith. Abundant blessings in this world and eternal life in the hereafter belong to you. When you get down, remember who you are, a child of God, poised to receive a good harvest.

#6 “Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. This is why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Problems, obstacles and struggles are temporary, but the word of God that contains the promises of God is eternal. His word stands forever. If you want to grow in your faith and evolve into a mature believer, you must prioritize Scripture which increases your ability to see through God’s eyes and not your own.

Good times and bad times come and go. Hard times and easy times will inevitably show up in your life. Expect that to happen.

If you want to be strong enough to endure the low places and thrive in the tough spots, read, meditate on and apply these faith-boosting Scriptures, and you’ll have all the strength you need to go forward in faith.

Prayer: God, circumstances try to shake my faith, but thank You for Your word that helps me remain steadfast, undeterred and undaunted in my lowest moments. Please teach me to trust what You say and not what I see, for You are faithful always and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
