First Shiloh Baptist Church, in partnership with Choose Healthy Life, Quest Diagnostics, and United Way of New York City, in addition to Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, Inc. is launching an important community health initiative to support the well-being of families across Buffalo.

Together, these organizations will host a Blueprint for Wellness: Free Blood Test Screening Event open to all residents, regardless of insurance status.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Community Health Center of Buffalo, 34 Benwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14214.

The event will provide comprehensive free blood test screenings, including heart, diabetes, and thyroid health assessments.

This initiative aims to reduce barriers to preventive healthcare by offering comprehensive wellness screenings at no cost to participants. Assessments will include diabetes risk, heart and cardiovascular health, liver and kidney health, thyroid function, bone health, body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure readings.

“Together, we can reduce barriers to healthcare and empower individuals to take charge of their wellness,” said Kyla Hobbs, Health Navigator for Choose Healthy Life. “We truly appreciate the partnership and commitment of agencies across Buffalo in helping us reach the residents who need these critical services the most.”

These services are made possible through the Quest Blueprint for Wellness program, which specializes in accessible, community-centered preventive screening events.
