October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Empowering Everyday Women Ministries is excited that your donations have made it possible for us to give care packages to over 100 women battling this disease. In addition to helping us take care of others, don’t forget to take care of yourself.

Though Duchess Meghan Markle, 38, could not be onsite during this portion of the African tour she and Prince Harry have been on, she did go out of her way to surprise a bunch of Malawi students via Skype. This surprise is related to her work with Nalikule College, Lilongwe, that serves an amazing group of women.

Two African American students at Martin Luther King College Prep in Memphis, Tenn., gifted a white bullied kid with a bag of clothes and a brand new pair of shoes—effectively ending the taunting against the classmate for wearing the same thing to school daily. In honor of the International Day of Charity, on September 5th annually, Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, in collaboration with its partners and affiliates, successfully launched its global effort to donate books and supplies to children and families that cannot afford books or other educational resources.
