Christian media personality Tamera Mowry Housley, who recently celebrated seven years of marriage to journalist Adam Housley, is cluing you in on what it takes to make a marriage work.

“There are people out there who fall in love with anything and anybody. I always say the key is make sure you like him as a human being,” she advised in a recent interview with Wonderwall.

The 39-year-old mom of two who co-hosts the Emmy Award-winning daytime talker, “The Real” and new Facebook docu-series “Help Us Get Married,” told the publication, “If my husband and I weren't married, he'd be my best friend. He literally is my best friend and I can talk to him about anything.”

The God-honoring couple tied the knot on May 15, 2011 in an inn and vineyard in Napa Valley surrounded by 300 guests. Since that time, the two have become the proud parents of Aden, 5, and Ariah, 2.

According to Tamera, the years have flown by. "It went by fast! Having kids probably helped that go by because it's like a whirlwind.”

She continued, “It's such a blessing,” adding, “I always say ‘I still like my husband,’ so that's a plus.”

The busy mompreneur admits that keeping everything together and balanced is frequently a challenge. Yet, she has no complaints.

"I just feel so grateful to be able to tap into and do the things that I absolutely love," she explained. "It isn't perfect all the time and it's okay. I think [it's about] embracing the good and the bad of life. As long as you are trying, you're doing your best and you're taking it a day at a time, that's all you can be in control of."

In a sweet seven-year anniversary message posted by hubby Adam on Instagram, he wrote, " "Seven years ago I made the best decision of my life. Through ups and downs, thick and thins...there is nobody I’d rather have at my side."

Tamera posted a loving message of her own, saying, " I pray we continually grow and inspire each other."
