CNN is reporting that two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation have officially confirmed that Chicago Police believe Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate his assault.

Former sympathizers are expressing outrage, shock and anger that the 36-year-old “Empire” star would fake a hate crime.

Though many began heavily speculating earlier this week that Smollett’s story had too many holes in it to ever be reconciled as truth, things began unraveling much quicker when two Nigerian brothers, Olabinjo 'Ola' Osundairo, 27, and Abimbola 'Abel' Osundairo, 25, were taken into custody Wednesday.

Apparently, whatever they told authorities convinced them that something in the water wasn’t clean, leading their release without charges Friday, after which Chicago police said they discovered "new evidence."

Both men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement.

In his original report, Smollett said two masked men beat him after shouting racial and homophobic slurs, and tied a rope around his neck early on Jan. 29.

Whatever is done in the dark will come to the light.

Looks like Smollett just hung himself.
