Gospel’s dynamic sister duo Mary Mary reuniting to sing ‘Lift Every Voice’ at Super Bowl LVI

GRAMMY® Award-winning sister duo Mary Mary is set to reunite and electrify the stage at Super Bowl LVI with their own unique rendition of “Lift Every Voice And Sing.”
Trecina Atkins-Campbell, 47, and Erica Campbell, 49, expressed excitement on social media for the opportunity to perform the Black National Anthem on entertainment’s biggest platform during Black History Month.
The ladies, who were born and raised in Inglewood, CA, will be right at home—literally—at SoFi Stadium on Feb. 13, where the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams will battle it out to earn the title of world champion.

“So excited to represent our hometown,” wrote Erica online. “Erica and I are blessed to have this honor,” said Tina.
Mary Mary will be accompanied by the LA Phil’s YOLA — which stands for Youth Orchestra Los Angeles. The song will be conducted by Thomas Wilkins, the principal conductor of the LA Phil’s Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
At this year’s Super Bowl festivities, there’s a little something to suit a variety of musical flavors.
Country music star Mickey Guyton, the first Black woman to earn a Grammy nomination for her hit song “Black Like Me,” will sing the national anthem. R&B songstress Jhené Aiko will perform “America the Beautiful,” as both will be joined by Actress Sandra Mae Frank who will perform the national anthem and “America the Beautiful” in American sign language.
The halftime show, produced by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company, will feature iconic performers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. All performances and the game will air on NBC.
Gospel fans will be eager to see Mary Mary team up again, as they are well-known and loved for hit songs such as “Get Up,” “Thankful” and “Shackles (Praise You).”
More than a decade ago, Mary Mary performed the Black National Anthem in 2010 with gospel singer Smokie Norful on the compilation album A Dream Realized: A Gospel Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
