Jesus came to set the captives free, and He is using beautiful Christian couple Russell and Ciara Wilson to minister the liberating gospel to those incarcerated.

The charitable football player and singer, known for giving back, recently visited Everglades Correctional Institution in Miami, Florida, with the organization God Behind Bars, where they shared the word of God and worshiped with 300 incarcerated men in the prison's chapel.

The Denver Broncos quarterback, 34, read a Bible verse in Isaiah 43:19, about “forgetting the former things” and recognizing that God is doing a “new thing” before passing the microphone to his gifted wife.

"You know what's so beautiful about God's love? It’s relentless," the "Level Up" singer, 37, said. “And do you know what I love about God and what He said and what His promise is? There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus."

She continued, "So, if you ask for forgiveness, He will forgive you."

The Beauty Marks Entertainment CEO then became emotional, and with tears streaming down her cheeks, she told the inmates, "My heart is filled with joy.” She then began singing the popular worship anthem, "Way Maker,” which led to a powerful display of God’s presence.

God Behind Bars shared a video on its Instagram account and said that after Ciara sang, "men came to the front and wept, giving their lives to Jesus. Many of these men are serving life sentences in prison, but now they will be spending life with Jesus. It is hard to put words into what happened, but it was a night of unity, praise, and salvation!”

Both Ciara and  Russell are outspoken about their Christian faith and are unashamed to openly worship God, and their contagious fervor for the gospel is leading the lost to Christ.

In August 2021, a photo went viral of the pair worshipping together at a local church. Someone snapped the photo unbeknownst to them that showed the Super Bowl-winning athlete on his knees, while the Grammy-winning entertainer stood behind him holding her hands up in praise.

“God’s love is so beautiful,” tweeted Ciara, basking in the worship experience at the men’s maximum security prison. “What a blessing it was feeling His love permeate all throughout this room.”
