Do you remember when the Body of Christ united worldwide in prayer for award-winning women’s ministry leader Dianna Hobbs during her life-threatening illness in 2017? Can you believe that was nearly eight years ago?
On March 26, 2017, the Empowering Everyday Women Ministries Founder arrived at Covenant of Grace Ministries in Niagara Falls, NY, unable to walk, her body ravaged by rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Her voice was a whisper, her strength depleted. That night, carried into the sanctuary by her husband Kenya, she became the focal point of a crowd holding its breath—waiting, hoping, praying.

Then, something extraordinary happened. Fifty women intercessors, all dressed in white, gathered around her, laid hands on her, and lifted their voices in faith. As they prayed, God moved. Strength surged through her body. She stood. She ran. She left that sanctuary completely healed—and the healing remains to this day.

Eight years later, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM, Hobbs just announced she will step onto the platform at New Beginnings Church of God in Christ (828 Genesee St, Buffalo, NY 14211) to preach her first public sermon in over five years. The public is invited to this free night of worship, healing, and triumph—no RSVP required.
"Nothing’s set in stone yet—except this: God told me to preach a word," wrote Hobbs in an email to her supporters, as well as in official posts across her social media platforms. "I’ve got a word to deliver. I don’t know who’s singing or what else is happening—none of that’s figured out. But I know God said obey Him, show up, and HE will show up."
Hobbs delivered a clear and compelling message: “This isn’t a production. It’s not some manufactured moment or a polished show. It’s a move of God, plain and simple. Do whatever it takes to be there. More details coming soon.”
An official representative from her core ministry team emphasized the significance of the moment: “This is far more than an anniversary; it’s a rallying cry for believers who witnessed or were inspired by her miraculous healing—a moment that sent shockwaves through the Christian community worldwide.”
Hobbs’ testimony has impacted millions. Doctors had given up on her, declaring she wouldn’t survive. But when the saints gathered at “50 Women Praying,” uniting their voices in faith and power, everything changed. In her bestselling book God Did It, Hobbs recalled, “I felt a power surge through me.” That night, she bolted from the sanctuary, completely transformed—her story quickly spreading across Christian media.
Though her 2017 healing remains a powerful demonstration of God’s miraculous power, another unexpected health crisis struck in 2019. A severe allergic reaction to a common antibiotic caused brain trauma, once again derailing her ministry. But after years in the shadows, Dianna Hobbs has returned—her voice strong, her spirit unbreakable, and her message more powerful than ever.
This highly anticipated service will feature:
- A stirring sermon from Hobbs, forged through trials and triumphs.
- Soul-shaking worship that will set the atmosphere for breakthrough.
- A special healing prayer segment invoking the life-changing power of God.
Just as believers once stood in unity, interceding in faith, they will gather once again, trusting God to show up as only He can.
“This night is about more than remembrance—it’s about revival,” said Kenya Hobbs, Dianna Hobbs’ husband of 27 years. “This isn’t just an invitation; it’s a divine appointment to witness a mighty move of God.”
Organizers are admonishing the public: don’t miss this service.
