Fans of the late Aretha Franklin were already ecstatic about Jennifer Hudson portraying the Queen of Soul. Now, there’s even more reason to celebrate since Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, actor Marlon Wayans, Broadway star Audra McDonald, and Oscar-nominee Mary J. Blige have all signed on.

The late Aretha Franklin’s roots run deep in Gospel music, which makes it fitting for Gospel singers to tribute her at The American Music Awards next month. According to The Associated Press, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Gladys Knight and Ledisi will perform.

Aretha Franklin, the undisputed “Queen of Soul,” who stood as a cultural icon around the globe, has died at age 76 from pancreatic cancer. She transitioned Thursday at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit.
