Buffalo, NY November 12, 2020 – This GivingTuesday, Empowering Everyday Women, Inc. will fire up the giving season and inspire generosity by providing hot meals for families and donations to food banks that have been thrown into economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.

EEW, Inc. joined GivingTuesday to continue its ongoing efforts to fight hunger. The organization is asking its supporters and partners to donate this year, and join its mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus on earth.

“We are gearing up to be even more generous than we were the year before on this GivingTuesday, and we’re excited about it,” said Dianna Hobbs, CEO and Founder of the Christian nonprofit headquartered in Buffalo, New York that provides clean water, clothing, food, literacy training, books, Christian and educational resources, and humanitarian aid to those in need. “Our organization’s theme for this year’s GivingTuesday is ‘Give It Away,’” said Hobbs. “We want to motivate people to go out of their way and do their absolute best to draw from their own wellspring of blessings to be a source of blessings for others. Through this effort, we believe God will be glorified and hundreds of families will be helped.”

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people and organizations like Empowering Everyday Women, Inc. to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world as people and organizations speak up for the causes that matter to them and encourage others to get involved in their communities.

"GivingTuesday inspires people all around the world to embrace their power to drive progress around the causes they care about, not just on one day but throughout the year," said Asha Curran, GivingTuesday’s CEO and co-founder. "With country and community leaders, millions of organizations, and countless givers of all kinds, GivingTuesday is creating a shared space where we can see the radical implications of a more generous world."
