There are areas of deep concern in your life, and you need God to fix some things that are broken. While you know that He’s able to do it, you don’t always know how to ask Him to intervene.

You toss common questions over in your mind like, what should I say? Is there a right or wrong way to express myself? Will God really hear me if I’m not quite sure how to approach Him?

Such queries run through the minds of millions of Christians all over the world. Good thing there is an easy solution: pray the Word of God. You can never go wrong when you do that. To help you understand why this simple yet powerful prayer method is so effective, EEW Magazine Online is sharing 5 reasons why you should pray the Word of God every single day.

#1 You don’t know what to say (Romans 8:26)

Some people get hung up on what to say to God during prayer time. So, they fumble through awkward silences and sentences, hoping to sound pious enough to be heard by God. Free yourself! Scripture tells us that we don’t know what to pray. You may as well recite the Word of God and expect the manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s promise to intercede for us.

#2 God honors His Word (Jeremiah 1:12)

God says that He watches over His word until it is fulfilled. That means He is intentional about making sure that no word He speaks will ever fail to come to pass. Knowing this, each of us ought to gladly and confidently proclaim Scriptures – even if we can’t remember them verbatim – and expect our Heavenly Father to show Himself faithful.

#3 Praying Scripture strengthens your faith (Romans 10:17)

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The more we speak, hear, and meditate on Christ’s message of hope, the stronger our faith grows. This is why praying the Word of God is an essential faith-building tool! Since we are instructed to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:16), when we incorporate Bible verses into our prayers throughout the day, we grow more confident in God.

#4 It switches your mindset (Romans 12:2) When you focus on God’s Word, your reality may not change immediately but your mentality will. The transformation happens within you before it occurs around you. So then, praying Scripture conforms your mindset to the Word of God, thereby nurturing your faith perspective, refreshing your spirit, and soothing your soul. When you call upon the name of the Lord and invoke His word in times of distress, by His power, He will ease your troubled mind. You will gain a deep sense of peace that comes from viewing your circumstances from God’s point of view.

#5 It pierces through your problems (Hebrews 4:12)

The Word of God, known as the sword of the Spirit, is quick, powerful, and sharp enough to pierce straight through your issues. Imagine your prayers being arrows aimed at your problems. When you speak life over your situation, God’s Word penetrates your circumstances and gets to the heart of your issues with miraculous results!

Each time you pray the Word, you seize upon the priceless opportunity to confess God’s irrefutable promises over your intimidating problems. To get results every time you pray, Keep Scripture always on your tongue and faith constantly in your heart.
