When the Hobbs children were younger, my husband Kenya bought them a thousand-piece puzzle set. Before he purchased it, I advised him against it. I told him that their attention spans were too short for something like that. But he bought it and gifted it to the children anyway.

After our little ones initially received the puzzle with joy and worked on it with their dad for hours, their smiles turned into frowns and tears. When they’d had more than they could take, they broke down and admitted that the puzzle was too hard.

Life can sometimes feel scattered and confusing, like a thousand-piece puzzle feels to a child. We don’t know how to bring everything together. Thankfully, we are not required to figure things out on our own. God is right there to help us.

In Acts 18, Apollos, who loved God and used his speaking talent to teach others about Jesus, had trouble putting all the pieces of the gospel together. He didn’t fully understand the resurrection of Christ and only knew about John’s baptism. So God, who orchestrates the events of our destiny, sent a righteous Jewish married couple, Priscilla and Aquila, to help Apollos. The two were tentmakers and dear friends of Paul the Apostle, and they were well-versed in the gospel. They graciously taught Apollos and equipped him to teach about Jesus even more accurately, powerfully, and convincingly.

Apollos’s story shows us that God’s hand is active in our lives, and when we walk in divine purpose, He sends the help we need to take us to the next level. That’s why you need not worry if you don’t know all you need to know, have all you think you need to have, and are not yet as effective as you would like to be. God is not finished with you.

He is going to bless you and cause your path to cross with those who can assist you. He will cause resources to flow to you. He will see to it that you are fully equipped with all you need to go higher. Wherever you are now and whatever you may be going through, God wants you to know that better is on the way.

He will promote and increase you, release blessings and make you more effective in the work of the Lord.

I know the puzzle pieces aren’t all in place yet, but keep on trusting God. He is going to send you next-level resources, next-level favor, next-level opportunities, next-level wisdom, and next-level blessings. By His grace, you will be fruitful.

To encourage you, I’m stirring the first portion of Psalm 115:14 KJV into your cup of inspiration, which says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more…”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, receive this word, and thank God for your next level. Rejoice that there is more and greater in store for you.
