In July 2019, Dianna Hobbs wrote a devotion reminding readers that God would have the final say. About a month later, a traumatic brain injury and ministroke severely affected her memory, beginning a long recovery that would give those words unexpected personal meaning.
On Oct. 20, Hobbs returned to that message in "The Last Word Belongs to God," a new devotion connecting her experience with the biblical account of Naboth, whose vineyard was seized by a king and whose death did not escape God's notice.
The devotion is part of Your Daily Cup of Inspiration, the Scripture-based series Hobbs launched in 2007. After nearly two decades, the series is expanding its reach, with new devotions now publishing in EEW Magazine Online, the faith-informed news outlet produced by Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, the nonprofit Hobbs founded that same year.
According to the ministry, the devotions have reached millions of women worldwide, offering biblical encouragement through personal struggles, difficult circumstances and seasons of uncertainty. Publishing them in EEW Magazine introduces the series to women who may never have encountered it.
"My prayer has always been that these devotions would find the woman who needs them on the very day she needs them," Hobbs said. "Bringing them into EEW Magazine opens that door wider, and I believe God will carry them to places I could never reach on my own."

EEW Magazine's articles regularly appear in Google News, giving the devotional series another avenue for discovery. Readers who visit the magazine for health reporting, news or other features can now encounter Hobbs' biblical teaching alongside that coverage.
Hobbs continues to write each devotion herself, drawing from personal testimony, biblical teaching and, frequently, the original Hebrew and Greek texts. Each closes with the familiar invitation longtime readers have come to recognize: "As you drink down the contents of your cup, know this."
For some readers, the devotions have also provided an introduction to the ministry's humanitarian work, which includes hunger relief, Bible distribution, clean water initiatives and dignity kits for women and girls in underserved communities.
"I had been reading EEW devotions for years before God led me to support the ministry that feeds my spirit and helps so many others," wrote Donna, a supporter in Canada, in a testimony published on the ministry's website.
Longtime readers can continue finding new and archived devotions on the Daily Cup website, where new entries appear automatically alongside the companion podcast.
The series also has a dedicated category in EEW Magazine Online's Inspiration section. Readers can receive additional content and updates through The EEW Weekly, the magazine's free email newsletter.
For Hobbs, the expansion brings a message she began sharing in 2007 to another generation of readers. The words she wrote before her own medical crisis, and revisited this week, remain central to that message: The last word belongs to God.
