Update: Relentless Pastor John Gray's wife says "It was the prayers of the righteous that availed," in a new post about his health scare. According to the relieved wife, the most worrisome blood clot is gone.

The doctors’ reports regarding the health of Relentless Church pastor, John Gray, may not be all that hopeful, but wife Aventer Gray is placing hope in God and speaking affirming words of faith.

“No premature death!” says the first lady in an Instagram post updating supporters about her 49-year-old husband’s health. He remains in critical care battling Saddle Pulmonary Embolism – a life-threatening condition – and additional blood clots in his lungs.

“Thank You God, still holding,” Mrs. Gray captions a photograph of the couple smiling in happier times, while she praises God that the clots have not moved.

In her initial public announcement requesting prayers for a “miracle,” the former co-star of the OWN docuseries, The Book of John Gray, explained that the clot stuck in the main pulmonary artery could “end his life if it shifts at all,” noting, “The clot burden is severe and only God is holding it in place.”

As previously reported by EEW Magazine Online, Saddle PE occurs when a large blood clot becomes lodged at the intersection where the main pulmonary artery divides and branches off into the left and right lungs.

“If it is not faith, I don’t want it! Life!!! That is all! God is not done,” writes the entrepreneur and mother of the pair’s two children who holds two degrees—one in cardiopulmonary science and the other in health service administration.

EEW Magazine sources close to the situation say deeply concerned family, friends, and ministry colleagues have been offering around-the-clock support to the Gray family with both in-person visits and virtual gestures of love and kindness.

As the alarming news of the preacher’s ill health spreads, Mrs. Gray shares a bit of good news.

“Leg clot gone!” she says before directly speaking to the multiple clots that have formed in her spouses lungs: “Remaining lung clots dissipate and bow at the name of Jesus!”

Mrs. Gray adds, “All will stay in place because they have to obey the voice of the Lord. Then, they will be obliterated. I am ready for the rest of this miracle!!!”

According to the wife of 11 years, Mr. Gray is being transfer from Greenville, SC, to a hospital in Atlanta, GA, “for the best care.”

As things remain touch-and-go, she thanks everyone for their “prayers and outpouring of love” and says, “Please continue.”

Among those publicly offering prayers and support online are Bishop T.D. Jakes, Ayesha Curry, Pastor Greg Groeschel, Lakewood Church and more.
