You have already asked God to work in your favor, and now you’re waiting for Him to answer you. Though we would all like to avoid any delays and receive our blessings right away, God often takes His time to teach us patience and trust.

If you find yourself in the waiting place, anticipating manifestation, EEW Magazine Online is sharing 5 things you should do in the process.

#1 Believe.  This is the obvious answer because faith is the key to unlocking the promises of God. Remember what Hebrews 11:6 KJV says: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” God loves when He sees your faith. It is your confidence in Him that activates His power on your behalf!

#2 Confess the word of God. Jeremiah 1:12 teaches us something very important about God—”He watches over His word to perform it.” In other words, He makes sure that the promises He makes to you come true. As you are believing, it is important that you are speaking and confessing what Scripture says, because God is always faithful to make good on His word.

#3 Don’t get discouraged by outward signs. What things look like, particularly when they look really bad, can get you down faster than anything else on your journey of faith! When you’re believing God for healing, a negative doctor’s report is a big blow. When you are trusting God to save a loved one, if they get deeper in their mess, it breaks your heart. But the Bible teaches that we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). So, speak what you believe and not what you see!

#4 Remain open and flexible. Oftentimes, we trust God to do something while making the mistake of trying to stick Him in a little box. Being close-minded, inflexible—boxing God in—and expecting Him to do it our way, sets us up for disappointment. God’s ways are not like ours, according to Isaiah 55:8-9. We serve a savior who is sovereign and in control. So then, our job is to trust Him and let Him be God.

#5 Praise God in advance. Declare the victory and praise the Lord in advance of receiving your answer. Don’t wait until your request has manifested before you glorify God. No! Rejoice as evidence of your faith and as an outward sign of your gratitude for what God is getting ready to do. Psalm 33:1 CEV says, “You are the LORD's people. Obey him and celebrate! He deserves your praise.” Bless His name at all times—even while you’re waiting.

If you do all these things, you are more likely to avoid being discouraged and falling into Satan’s faith-snatching traps.

Not only will God bless you for waiting in faith, but you will soon receive tangible evidence of what you already know— that the delay was temporary, and God’s promises could be trusted all along.
