She thought about ending her life.

The pain ran so deep, the sorrow so suffocating, that death seemed like the only escape. Her heart had been shattered by someone she trusted most, a person she believed loved her deeply. But he turned out to be a cruel fraud. The betrayal wasn’t just a relational rupture; it was a soul wound.

She was unraveling.

She chased after him, desperate for answers, for restoration, for something, anything, to make the ache stop. But all she found was devastation.

Watching her spiral broke me. I love her dearly.

And though I tried to offer comforting words, nothing reached her. My attempts to console her fell flat against the crushing weight of her despair.

So when I got alone, away from her, I did what I knew to do: I wept before the Lord.

I travailed.

Loving someone deeply doesn’t mean you can heal their hurt. Only God can. So pray, intercede, and trust Him to do what only He can.

Lying prostrate, face down on the floor, I groaned from the depths of my spirit. It wasn’t just emotion; it was intercession. Like the wailing women in Jeremiah 9, I poured out rivers of prayer. I cried out with all my heart, “Lord, please help her. I can’t fix this. But You can. You’re the Healer. You’re the Restorer. You’re the One who binds up the brokenhearted.”

I asked God to gather every shattered piece of her soul and make her whole again.

And He did.

God stepped into that mess and turned it into a miracle. He pulled her out of that pit. He gave her beauty for ashes and joy for mourning (Isaiah 61:3).

If He did it for her, dear friend, He will do it for you.

Yes, He will.

I don’t know what heartache, disappointment, or setback you’re facing, but I do know this: the same God who heard my cries and healed her hurt is leaning in to listen to your needs right now.

He sent me to remind you that He knows you’re hurting, and He is holding you even now.

Don’t give up. Don’t throw in the towel. Don’t believe the lie that this is the end. God has already written a better chapter. And in due time, you will see it unfold.

But you must continue believing. Keep expecting a turnaround. Keep your heart open to hope. God honors your faith, and He moves in response to prayer.

Even when you feel too broken, too weary, or too discouraged to pray for yourself, God will send someone to stand in the gap for you.

Today, that someone is me.

Right now, I’m travailing in prayer for you—just as I did for my loved one. My heart longs to see God’s will fulfilled in your life, His purpose prevailing over every obstacle. I’m believing for your wholeness, your flourishing, and the abundant life Christ promised in John 10:10.

In prayer, travail is a deep, agonizing intercession—like a mother in labor—born of longing and burdened with the desire to birth God’s will.

As I travail, I believe God will show up and move in your life.

How do I know? James 5:16 tells me so: The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

As you await those wonderful results, may you remember this truth: God is a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees. He knows. He cares. And He answers.

If you can muster even a mustard seed of faith and touch and agree with me in this moment, God will move.

Jesus said in Matthew 18:19 (NIV), “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

So let’s agree in prayer.

Father, You are the lifter of every bowed-down head and the healer of every broken heart. Today, I pray for the one reading this who feels overwhelmed by sorrow and crushed under the weight of disappointment. Intervene. Rescue. Restore. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that Your power has no limits. Let Your Spirit minister to the places too fragile for human hands to touch. We touch and agree in faith, believing that it is already done! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
