First Look: Lifetime unveils official trailer for 'The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel'

(EEW MAGAZINE NEWS) - African-American Contemporary Gospel music lovers have long enjoyed the musical stylings of The Clark Sisters, and now, the rest of the world is discovering one of gospel music’s treasures.

Lifetime is giving us a first look at The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, the much buzzed-about biopic that takes us inside the world of the sisters and members of the highest-selling gospel group in history.

The movie airs Sunday, April 12, 2020 on Lifetime.

The biopic follows the early beginnings and life of the Clark Sisters: Karen Clark Sheard, Denise Clark Bradford, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Jacky Clark-Chisholm, and Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark-Terrell.

Executive produced by Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige, the film stars Aunjanue Ellis as the mother Mattie Moss Clark, Christina Bell as Twinkie, Kierra Sheard as Karen, Sheléa Frazier as Dorinda, Raven Goodwin as Denise, and Angela Birchettas as Jacky.
