Jesus Be A Mediator: Tamar Braxton’s fiancé David Adfeso files for domestic restraining order against her

After attempting suicide in July over work-related stress, Tamar Braxton is experiencing a different kind of turmoil – this time in her personal life.

The 43-year-old Christian R&B singer’s fiancé, David Adefeso, filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her on Tuesday, EEW Magazine Online can confirm.

According to official court documents, Adefeso, 49, requested the temporary court order at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles.

Before this latest twist, it seemed that the two were simply content and very much in love. The “Love and War” songstress credited the Certified Public Accountant trained at Harvard Business School with helping to save her life on July 16 after being found unresponsive by Adefeso in her hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Los Angeles.

"I'm sure finding me the way that you did couldn't have been easy,” said the Braxton Family Values star in a since-deleted Instagram post. "Through this entire time, you have held my hand, heard my cries, held me when I have been weak. You have had my ENTIRE back.”

According to Braxton’s Instagram statement, Adefeso, who is Nigerian, has been called “that African man” who is “controlling,” but she has gone on record with nothing but good things to say about him.

“Without THIS African man, I simply would not be here,” she said, calling Adefeso and her 7-year-old son Logan her “priority.”

"Thank you for being my Rock and now, my Angel on earth. I love you,” Braxton gushed. “I couldn't imagine what life would be like if you weren't by my side. Thank God I'm here and thank God for you.”

Before the latest storm upset the apparent tranquility in the couple’s relationship, Adefeso posted an Aug. 30 Instagram video of a day out with his mother and Braxton’s son. His mother, whom Braxton loves, has been a source of spiritual guidance and correction in Braxton’s life.

“She sends me scriptures to read and they are always what I need,” said the reality star in an Instagram post. " She gives me her blessings on things and will tell me when I’m wrong. I cherish every day that he blesses us with your love and spirit,” she added.

Though there have been sporadic reports about what caused the latest dustup, ending the happy lovefest between Braxton and Adefeso, EEW Magazine Online has not been able to confirm the veracity of those claims. So far, neither Adefeso nor Braxton have issued a public statement about the private issue.

For now, fans can only speculate as they await the premier of Braxton’s WE tv docuseries, Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life! which airs September 10.
