Look at God! The inimitable Sherri Shepherd, who perfectly blends faith and laughter in the world of daytime television, has been blessed with yet another season of her vibrant talk show, "Sherri."

EEW Magazine Online, the premier destination for Black Christian women, is thrilled that Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury has officially renewed "Sherri" for an inspirational third season, as greater representation of Black Christian women is needed in homes across America.

With a renewal that clears the show in over 95% of the country through station groups such as Nexstar, Sinclair, Hearst, Gray, and Scripps, "Sherri" continues to shine after the Fox Television Stations group had previously secured it through the 2024-2025 TV season. The show's success serves as evidence of Shepherd's magnetic presence, catapulting the daytime talker to second in ratings among women aged 25-54 this season across all syndicated talk shows.

Launched in September 2022, "Sherri" emerged as a refreshing and spirited successor to "The Wendy Williams Show," also produced by Debmar-Mercury, which had wrapped up production. The Daytime Emmy Awards recognized the show's excellence in its inaugural season by bestowing four nominations, including a nod to Shepherd herself for outstanding entertainment talk show host.

Triumphantly, "Sherri" also clinched an NAACP Image Award for outstanding talk series in 2023, among five total NAACP Image Award nominations, the most recent being a victory for outstanding host in a talk or news/information series or special.

In a heartfelt statement, Shepherd, 56, expressed her joy and commitment to her audience, saying, "I’m so excited to continue bringing joy, laughter, and inspiration to our viewers. I don’t take for granted that people welcome me into their homes daily, and that’s why I greet them with ‘Hey Family!’ Thank you to Debmar Mercury, the Fox Television Stations, and all of the broadcast partners who continue to support and trust in my vision of bringing fun and comedy to daytime. And as we enter season three, continue to expect the unexpected."

The show, a live tap from New York City's Chelsea Studios, thrives under the executive leadership of Fernita Wynn, Shepherd, and producing partner Jawn Murray, along with Joelle Dawson-Calia. Co-Executive Producers Siobhan Schanda and Dan Fitzpatrick also play crucial roles in shaping the show's success.

Murray, 46, who commented under Shepherd’s Instagram post announcing the news of the renewal, said, “And now we keep on bringing the ‘best time in daytime’ to people all over the world!”

Debmar-Mercury's co-presidents, Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, shared their gratitude and excitement: "We thank our great station partners for continuing to make 'Sherri' the centerpiece of their daytime lineups. These renewals are a tremendous tribute to Sherri and the show’s outstanding production team, who, after less than two full seasons, have made this show into a popular daytime staple with viewers, stations, and advertisers."

As "Sherri" prepares to embark on its third season, EEW Magazine readers and fans nationwide can look forward to more of the heartfelt, humorous, and uplifting content that has made Shepherd a cherished voice in our community.

The faith community has rallied to support Shepherd and will remain supportive as she continues to spread light and love through the airwaves.
