For Hunger Action Month® this September, Empowering Everyday Women is joining other nonprofits in the fight against food insecurity and raising awareness of people facing hunger.

Food banks around the country are working to make a real and lasting impact on food insecurity in their communities, and they are asking for the public's support.

Hunger Action Month®, now in its14th year, was organized by Feeding America. This year's campaign presents the impossible choices that millions of Americans must make between food and other basic needs.

“We are used to deciding what we want to eat,” said Dianna Hobbs, CEO of Empowering Everyday Women. “But for individuals and families facing hunger, they must decide whether they can eat. It’s a choice between food, electricity, medicine, or other needs.”

"Nobody should be forced to make a choice to go hungry,” said Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. “With the public's support, we can come together to help people achieve long-term food security, so they no longer have to make such tough decisions."

During the month of September, people across the country can get involved in the movement by learning, committing, and speaking up about ways to end hunger.

This September, choose to stand against hunger with Empowering Everyday Women as we support food banks and bless families actively in the fight against hunger. Donate a tax-deductible gift to our 501c3 nonprofit. Share our message. Volunteer at your local food bank. Help us help those in need.
